Dear sports,

we are pleased to invite you to the 2nd.Rokycany Cup 2009 for Amateur-Teams in the Czech Republic. The tournament will take place from Saturday, 05.09.2009 till Sunday, 06.09.2009. Please note that the day of arrival is already on Friday, the 04.09.2009.

At least 8 teams from different European nations can take part in the tournament. The games correspond to the IHF-rules with a playing time of 2x20 minutes per game. On Saturday, the group games will take place. On Sunday, the play offs will take place. Please note that all places will be played, i.e. that each team has to play at least 4 games.

The sports hall in Rokycany is in a very good condition and used by the Handball teams of Rokycany for training and playing games. Due to the fact that the hotels are next to the sports hall, Rokycany fulfills the optimal qualifications for a tournament.

When it comes to your accommodation, you can choose between the Sporthotel which is located next to the ice rink and the city hotel Bily Lev . The Sporthotel offers 50 beds (rooms for 2,3 or 4 persons) with shower and toilet. The price includes full board. The city hotel Bily Lev (3-graded hotel) is in a very good condition. The spacious single rooms and spacious rooms for 2 or 3 persons have their own shower, toilet and TV. The hotel is about 5 minutes by foot away from the sports hall. The hotel has its own restaurant in which you can taste the Bohemian cousine (included in the price) and conclude the evening.

However, if you want to discover the night-life in the Czech Republic, Rokycany is a very good starting point for a journey to Pilsen which is only 10 km away. The historic city is the second biggest city (Prague is the biggest city) in the Czech Republic. It is very popular with you people as there are many discos, clubs, bars and the prices are very cheap, as it is used for the Czech Republic (a beer is about 0,70). The nice atmosphere in the bars and discos invites you to conclude a tournament.
